The Boston Celtics took a commanding 3-0 lead in the NBA Finals with a 116-108 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night at American Airlines Center.
Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics with 32 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists. Jaylen Brown added 29 points, and Marcus Smart chipped in with 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists.
Luka Dončić led the Mavericks with 31 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists, but he fouled out with 2 minutes remaining in the game. Kristaps Porziņģis added 23 points and 12 rebounds.
The Celtics led by just one point at halftime, but they pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring the Mavericks 32-22. The Mavericks made a run in the fourth quarter, but the Celtics held on for the win.
The Celtics will have a chance to close out the series in Game 4 on Monday night in Dallas.
