Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown Lead Celtics to Christmas Day Victory
Celtics 126, Lakers 115
Brown Explodes for 37 Points, Tatum Adds 30
In a highly anticipated Christmas Day matchup, the Boston Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 126-115 at the TD Garden. Jaylen Brown led the way for Boston with a game-high 37 points, adding 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Jayson Tatum also had a strong performance with 30 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists.
The Lakers were led by Austin Reaves, who made a career-best seven three-pointers and finished with 23 points. However, the absence of LeBron James and Anthony Davis proved to be too much to overcome for Los Angeles.
The Celtics controlled the game from the start, leading by as many as 25 points in the first half. The Lakers made a run in the third quarter to cut the deficit to single digits, but Boston responded with a strong fourth quarter to secure the victory.
The win improves the Celtics' record to 24-10 on the season, while the Lakers fall to 13-19.
